HOME STAGING BLOG - 6th May 2014
The week began with four enquiries for furniture rental and decorative accessories for properties in Leicester, Reading, Brighton and Bath. The majority of the owners lived abroad and were struggling to sell their houses in the UK. The properties ranged in value from £120,000 - £1,975,000. As we specialise in furniture rental for dressing properties for sale throughout the UK we were able to put competitive quotes together to style each property. We look at each property individually and design the best scheme for the interior taking many different factors into account. The minimum rental time for furniture hire is generally three months by which time we will have expected the property to have sold, if it hasn't the furniture can then be rented on a month by month basis. Once the scheme is sent to the client when can add, remove and change items where necessary to suit the clients budget. We fully manage the furniture rental, design the scheme, place the order, arrange delivery and oversee the installation making sure that the house is ready to view.

Later on in the week we spent a day at a house in Preston that had previously been staged for sale with rental furniture and accessories. We removed the installation as the house had sold and the rental period had finished. This house had sold within 14 days of the property going on the market and the owner was pleased to get such a quick sale. The house looked empty when the furniture and accessories were removed, but, Heatons Home Styling and the owner of the property were happy in the knowledge that the house has sold and the new owners are on their way.
Time spent in between the above was spent updating our website, catching up with social media for business and chatting with other home staging colleagues. I love my job!
